| I just got done checking to see if I am clear up front to fit 305 tires with my setup. Here are the results. With the wheels strait, the tire will rub the main arm ( not the upper arm or anything, but the huge main arm that the hub and ujpper arms are attached to. With the wheel turned inward to full lock, there will be zero rubbing and plenty of room. With the wheel turned to full lock outward the tire will rub the main arm again in almost the same spot as it does before. Both times that the tire will rub, if my measurments are correct, then it looks like the tires are seriously about 2 mms too far inward. Not a lot. I could possibly have the lip of the wheel built out farther by a company that I know to compensate for this (They are already building the inner part of the wheel 38.2 mms more and the outer lip 20mms more, but I could have them do 36.2/22 instead), but I would prefer to keep the wheels at their currect position on the car. Looks good and no rubbing the fender liners ect. Anyways, the arm that the tire is rubbing is VERY thick in that part. Atleast a good inch I believe of steel? and would taking a rotary tool to it to smoothly notch out where the tires will rub be just plain stupid, or is this actually something that other members have done before with good results. The car is driven very often and I can't have this part failing on me, so please be honest. If it is just plain silly, then I will probably just go with a 265 or 275 tire but I would obviously like to take advantage of my wider fenders since putting wider tires on my car was the main reason for doing the whole fender flare thing.
